Objectives

The objectives achieved by the MINERVA project are: 1) To improve the skills of Skill Up's training and management staff in the area of Leadership. The choice stemmed from a pressing demand, coming to training agencies, to provide support to training users in the practical and emotional management of online work teams due to the large use of smart working. 2) Embed Skill Up in a European-wide development plan through a training course in France, which offered the dual opportunity to open up to new approaches and consolidate relationships with other training agencies. 3) Contributing to environmental protection and combating climate change by encouraging green travel. Skill Up is in the process of defining a Green Protocol in training, which has seen the implementation of organizational improvement actions with a view to environmental sustainability, and participation in this project has enabled it to elaborate it in greater detail by putting into practice and validating its content.

Background

MINERVA project was implemented based on Skill Up's needs analysis for the purpose of improving the quality of the company's training offerings and updating the skills of trainers. The identified needs were declined into macro-objectives for the company's growth, namely: 1) Train its trainers in key competencies and especially in soft skills, while also improving their competencies in the area of innovative teaching methodologies and tools, so as to provide the users involved with training that will help them, for example, better manage daily smart working in the wake of the pandemic; 2) Strengthen Skill Up's position in a European context by collaborating with international training agencies; and 3) Contribute to environmental protection and the fight against climate change by creating a Green protocol. The immediate response to these needs was to participate in a Leadership course taught by a French training agency - ESQUARE - through (green) mobility abroad.
