Objectives

Objective 1: L'Orma aimed to offer high-quality training experiences to educators focused on Non-Formal Education and Education Through Sport with adult targets. This objective was linked to the need for staff development and diversification of financial income. Evaluation involved measuring the number of training experiences and participants over five years as well as collecting qualitative feedback. Objective 2: L'Orma wanted to foster the development of staff competences in project management, with a focus on leadership and communication. This objective addressed the lack of formal background in staff members for leading and coordinating projects, impacting international growth and activity implementation. It was part of a three-year development plan to become a more project-oriented organization. The objective was to enhance daily operations and improve engagement with target groups.

Background

L'Orma is a non-profit educational agency founded in 2000 that promotes non-formal education, social innovation, and Social Entrepreneurship for teachers, educators, and parents. Since 2014, it has been actively involved in European projects. An internal analysis in 2019 revealed organizational challenges, leading to a three-year reorganizational plan. The plan aims to enhance internal management, European presence, and offerings for adult learners. L'Orma has primarily focused on training educators, but the organization seeks to diversify its services to reduce dependence on seasonal and unstable revenue sources. Staff training is crucial to implementing Non-Formal Education and Education Through Sport approaches effectively. We wanted to improve, particularly in leadership and communication. To foster growth locally and internationally, L'Orma plans to participate in an Erasmus+ KA1 project, expanding its network of partner organizations. By learning from European good practices in project management, L'Orma aims to increase its role on the European stage, improve its abilities as a partner and applicant in Erasmus+ projects, and have a greater local impact.
