Objectives

The three main strategic priorities of BEA - in the mid- and long-term perspective - are aimed at ensuring to its participants, as an improvement and a contribution for a better functioning and growth for the whole organisation: access to international mobility; networking with other organisations; training of staff members and trainers. More specifically, thanks to this project, BEA as Applicant Organisation planned to achieve the following objectives: to empower the competences and skills of trainers and volunteers, particularly through the enrichment of their pool of skills, methods and tools; to foster the personal development of trainers and volunteers, especially in terms of self-confidence when facing challenges during their training activities; to improve the quality of volunteering activities, especially in terms of intercultural competence; to enhance cooperation in an international dimension and in a cross-border and intergenerational perspective, thanks to networking with other like-minded organisations; to cover the lack of contacts and networking among like-minded organisations.

Background

Bunta Esperanto-Asocio, the applicant organisation, was founded in 2015, and has been gaining experience thanks to the participation in EU-funded projects over the last years. The organisation plans, as constant strategic priorities, to empower the skills of its staff members, trainers and volunteers, to improve their competences, through international mobility, training and networking, staying up-to-date with new organisational and methodological trends and skills from other backgrounds, as well as with the use of new media and ICT, especially in these challenging times, which require a reskilling in the sense of digitalisation of educational and training activities. The organisation is addressing the following challenges: to enhance the knowledge and skills of its staff members, trainers and volunteers; to foster personal development and inclusion; to improve the access to international mobility and networking with other organisations at European level. The promotion and participation in European projects has been key so far to mitigate these challenges; for this reason, BEA planned to initiate this mobility project.
