The objectives that the coordinator Mine Vaganti NGO aimed to achieve through the project are the following: 1. Improve the skills and competencies of its staff related to the NFE methodology in order to develop and implement urban environmental citizenship pathways, involving a local and regional target living in urban areas. 2. To improve the staff members' knowledge of environmental issues from a managerial point of view, so that they can contribute to the sustainable development of the city by providing a specific study of urban growth. 3. Strengthen the capacity of the organization through the exchange of good practices and develop project proposals in the field of adult education.
Sustainable Cities' Attitude (SUSCAT) is an 18-month project in the field of adult education, which aims to train internal human resources, in order to lay the foundations for urban-environmental citizenship paths. The project is aimed at providing the coordinator's staff members with specific skills in the subject of civic education for the sustainable development of urban areas and environmental management, in order to face an environmental challenge, which directly affects people living in urban cities such as Sassari. Furthermore, the staff of Mine Vaganti NGO (MVNGO) highlighted how the NFE methodology is not used to its full potential in the specific sector of environmental education. A need, therefore, arises to be satisfied, which in this case concerns the strengthening of the NFE competencies of educators and trainers.
