Objectives

The training proposal of Women in RE-skilling was aimed at two targets: 1) Adult female learners with low skills 2) Teachers/trainers in the adult education sector, HR managers With respect to the first target, the proposal aimed to develop - The linguistic knowledge of English - Digital literacy - The competence of entrepreneurship - skills on Life Skills and Self Management, i.e. acquiring the tools to recognize one's own resources and enhance them so that they can be valued and used in any area, both personal and work More generally, we wanted to involve a group of learners far from the world of lifelong learning for economic reasons, cultural approach, geographical distance or lack of motivation in an innovative and motivating training initiative. With respect to the second target, the project was aimed at improving the quality of the teaching methodologies of the applicant's staff and of the teachers who collaborate on a permanent basis with the applicant on the subject of the development of soft skills and entrepreneurship, more generally supporting the motivation for professional development and lifelong learning.

Background

Unemployment is the greatest contemporary challenge for all stakeholders in the world of training and work: people with a low level of education and low skills, or who in general have situations of socio-economic and/or cultural disadvantage, have been deeply affected by the economic crisis generated by the pandemic emergency and have a high risk of permanent exclusion from the labor market as well as social marginalization; unemployment is a phenomenon that mainly concerns the female world, in which inactive women or women with long-term unemployment can more easily be observed. But from this same segment of the population, we have been able to observe in recent years a growing interest in professional training and retraining and lifelong learning in general, an interest that has influenced the training offer of our training institution. In this context, our company has launched a process of renewal of the training offer with a view to supporting and developing the skills required not only by the MdL but also by the social and cultural challenges of the post-pandemic era.
