The I.C. 49° “Toti-Borsi-Giurleo” wants to respond successfully to the needs expressed by the RAV and PTOF analysis, in order to achieve the results expected in the school’s PdM through the following specific objectives, planned for the project “EU AID”: 1.To consolidate teachers’ skills in competence-based curriculum design and evaluation procedures by common tests through transnational paths, 2.To improve the planning skills of the European key competences and citizenship, useful to realise the Vertical Curriculum of the I.C. 49° “Toti-Borsi-Giurleo”. 3.To acquire international inclusive best practices and tools to prevent school drop-out, motivating students to continue their studies, keeping them away from deviant behaviour.
The I.C. 49th "Toti-Borsi-Giurleo", operates in heterogeneous social realities inclusions with high risks of juvenile delinquency (marginalization; disintegration; illegality). The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in increased hardship, failure and early school failure. In fact, the RAV 2019/2020 shows that in classes II and III of primary school there is a rate of non-admitted students to the following year of 1.9% and 4.4% in classes II of lower secondary school , with pupils excluded from the scrutiny for non-compliance. The school dropout rate is 2.2% in classes I and 2.1% in classes II of lower secondary school. The teaching staff, although they want to change course, are unable to do so as they lack the methodological tools useful for fully satisfying the needs of the learners. The intention of the Institute, also highlighted within the PdM of the Institute, is to: -adapt the educational path to the needs of the students; - develop a vertical curriculum of the Institute for key competences and citizenship; - carry out the design by skills; - promote the internationalization of the Institute.
