Objectives

OB1 - Teaching and new technologies: Enriching teaching practices with new methods and tools to improve students' digital skills through dedicated training for teachers, addressing our need to apply a wide range of tools, practices, and methodologies that integrate technology into everyday teaching. OB2 - Improving practices related to assessment, guidance, and counseling for students in lower secondary education, including through more effective school-family relationships, helping us achieve a shared understanding of assessment criteria for students' performances and acquiring tools for greater family involvement. OB3 - Enhancing teachers' language skills to internationalize/qualify the educational offer with new European projects and introduce CLIL modules in primary and lower secondary education, addressing the challenges of limited familiarity with daily English use as a barrier for teachers to participate in international projects and adopt the CLIL method, both important milestones in the Institute's strategic development plan.

Background

The I.C. "A. Scriattoli" is a public school that operates in an area comprising four municipalities in the province of Viterbo: Vetralla, Blera, Villa San Giovanni in Tuscia, and Barbarano Romano. The I.C. Scriattoli was established in 2009, inheriting the legacy of middle schools, primary schools, and local kindergartens. The "6Es4Future" project has been designed taking into account the following identified needs: Low-average outcomes: INVALSI data has shown below-average outcomes both in primary and lower secondary schools. Limited participation of families, which has also contributed to the high percentage of students not following the career guidance advice. Enhancement of teachers' digital skills and CLIL : The need to strengthen teachers' digital skills and CLIL has been identified to fully leverage the potential offered by digital technologies within the institute. Language barrier: It has emerged as a limitation to the internationalization of the institute's educational offerings and to providing students with an international learning environment, fostering their ability to communicate and interact globally.
