Objectives

TOGETHER-EU had aimed to achieve the following objectives: -Methodological innovation in the Music disciplines, particularly in instrumental teachings, to improve competency-based teaching and address the differentiated needs of students, seeking effective teaching/learning processes with a personalized approach. -Methodological innovation in foreign language teaching and a systematic approach to internationalization, including increased student involvement in the strategy, to address the unsatisfactory outcomes in English recorded in the INVALSI tests and enhance the systemic impact of international activities, which had become a structural part of our Educational Offer. -Linguistic empowerment for DNL teachers interested in internationalizing their teachings and participating more proactively in the "Erasmus+" working group, expanding opportunities for international exchange and collaboration.

Background

"TO.G.E.T.H.E.R. – EU" was proposed by "S. Rosa" High School in Viterbo. Our school was called upon to respond to the needs of an increasingly diverse user base, bearing different educational and social needs. From the analysis of these needs, the necessity to intervene on the following strategic themes emerged: - the acquisition of new educational tools for competency-based design and methodological innovation, aimed at the teachers in the music-oriented disciplines of the language department. Competency-based design presupposes the need to transform the teaching methodology and requires the development of logical schemes to mobilize knowledge, not just through the simple assimilation of information but through practice; - linguistic empowerment of teachers in DNL (Discipline Non-Linguistic), in order to expand the range of teachers and disciplines involved in the internationalization process; - increased involvement of students in the internationalization process.
