Objectives

1.Support the professional development of teachers and staff in terms of new educational methodologies, new assessment frames, soft and digital skills development. In addition to the usual assessment of curricular disciplines, which is done with reference to a grid shared at the Institute level, the need emerged to consider skills that can be acquired through activities other than classroom lessons. 2.Support the sharing of experiences, collaboration and transfer of best practices among teachers and the strengthening of a European network of schools. The opportunity to observe and learn from other European contexts was an opportunity to make collaboration among teachers more effective, facilitate mutual exchange of goals and objectives, and avoid penalizing the search for constructive solutions and the dispersion of valuable energy. In addition, ties with schools have been strengthened, setting us on the path to creating a strong and lasting network that is already seeing its realization in the accreditation mobilities planned for next year. 3. Promote the use of new technologies throughout the staff and innovative teaching methods with the use of digital tools.

Background

The project was conceived within the Erasmus working group that the school was provided with as a result of the first KA1 "S.E.A. Schools of Europe Atelier" teaching and staff mobility project. The department is the European point of view on the school, a place for listening to the needs and challenges that the school faces and therefore each project proposal is thought out by listening to the teachers pertaining to the different subject areas. Again, this was done by reflection in the Teachers' Board on the topic of mobility with Erasmus. The challenges noted were: Systematicity of programming and evaluation methods that do not take into account the skills acquired by students in extracurricular learning environments; Situations of isolation and little exchange among teachers; Differences between personal expectations and professional ambitions and the tasks required to the teachers. The need to train in the digital sphere and on innovative teaching methodologies. In the school year 22/23 Marco Polo implemented an experiment for school time schedule. This involved a specification with respect to the objectives , emphasizing the need for internationalization and the training and development of teachers' skills.
