The project aims at some fundamental objectives which are tightly interconnected: widening methodological, didactical and educational options through the confrontation with different school systems; enhancing internal confrontation and the spreading on the territory of new teaching, organisational and managing methods for the school community, where the school is seen as an entity which presents system processes and is continuously in the making and developing; through dissemination, creating a team which will work synergistically and which will be able to plan activities both in the national curriculum and outside the school, with effective and innovative didactical and educational forms in order to build up a vertical educating community (from primary school to high school), after having taken into consideration the staff and the students’ requests.
Educandato Uccellis decided to apply for the call because some internal needs have emerged, consequently to a twenty-year long experience with students exchanges: the necessity to respond to students’ requests from a methodological point of view; the necessity to go out from the scheme of the usual relationships to multiply the point of view of not only the staff but also the students; the necessity to form a team which will be able to spread didactical, educational and project innovations, a team which will need to be able to involve all the school staff in that route of change school is now facing together with society. All of this brings forth new challenges: aware and effective I.C.T. usage, which involves a transition mode; an implementation of school sustainability, which is aimed at not only as environmental care but also as caring for oneself, for others, for the wellbeing of the community and as a form of respect for cultural diversity
