The school aims to guarantee students a complete and adequate training both for entry into the world of work and for the continuation of university studies, in a vision extended to the European dimension. Therefore, it was considered of primary importance: - support the acquisition and development of key competences, including basic skills; - promote common values, civic engagement and active participation in an exchange between peers, so that young people are true promoters of change in a transnational context, where they can take on new challenges and absorb good examples. - trigger innovation/internationalisation of schools and strengthen the response of education systems to the main challenges of today's world. In particular, the project was aimed at exploring the correlation between science and culture, to create synergies that bring our educational offer to keep up with the rapid social and technological transformation. The relationships established with other schools will guarantee in the future the possibility of continuing exchanges in a continuous process of professional growth, including for school staff.
The I.S.I.T. “U. Bassi - P. Burgatti” is located in Cento, a town situated between the provinces of Ferrara, Bologna and Modena. The Institute was born from the merger of the two addresses of the technical institute, the technological and economic sector, and has expanded its training offer by activating an option of the scientific high school, the high school of applied sciences. This project was aimed at high school students with the aim of offering them the opportunity to train abroad to improve their linguistic and European citizenship skills, as well as those related to scientific disciplines and cultural study. Although the teachers had no experience with Erasmus+ projects, there was a strong motivation to undertake activities in collaboration with other European schools and all present professional skills and competences were brought into play for the project to be successful.
