Through the implementation of the "Be Clean, Go Green!" project, we aimed to: develop digital skills and competencies in students through the use of innovative methodologies; promote students' awareness of climate change and their important role as citizens with respect to sustainable development; and promote inclusion and equal opportunities, as well as other core democratic values in the EU.
Our institute consists of four preschools, two elementary schools, and one secondary school. It is one of the 22 founding schools of the “Avanguardie Educative” movement, although in recent years, due to continuous changes in leadership, the innovation process has slowed down. The institute is also part of the Ashoka Changemaker Schools network because it promotes values such as empathy, entrepreneurship, shared leadership, and creativity in students and places them at the center of the educational process. The formation of European citizens is one of our key goals. Since 2011, eTwinning projects have been active, and since 2013 our institute has participated in European projects (Comenius-Erasmus). There are active literacy courses for foreign students, language and math strengthening, and preparation for DELF and GOETHE exams. The school is attended by students aged 4 to 14, mostly from families with modest cultural and socioeconomic levels. Within them are numerous disadvantaged pupils. The number of foreign families or families from disadvantaged areas has increased in recent years.
