Despite ongoing fears and uncertainties, enthusiasm and the desire to start anew characterized the beginning of the year 2021. The received applications came in large numbers, and LABA Academy managed to admit a significant percentage of them. Thirteen students undertook a study mobility in the Academic Year 2021/2022, and out of these, seven received funding (either entirely or partially) thanks to the opportunity to use the remaining funds from the 2020 Call. Due to the extreme need for on-site personnel, staff training mobilities were temporarily not implemented (they are expected to see strong growth in the following years), unlike staff teaching mobilities, which, despite some difficulties, resumed with momentum. An internship mobility was carried out by a newly graduated student at a studio based in Berlin. There were 23 incoming students for study, a considerable increase compared to the smaller number in the past. The guiding objective throughout the entire project has always been to pursue the planned activities, even in the face of inevitable challenges that arose.
