Our 2021-2026 Strategic Plan (https://www.unive.it/pag/18737/) has been implemented with a bottom-up process whereby the International Office has contributed with proposals in line with the objectives of E+ 2021-2027. Our Rector’s consideration of internationalisation originates in her former role as Vice-Rector for International Relations, and it is clearly showed in her decision to establish a number of figures of reference for internationalisation, among which a Vice-Rector for International Relations and 4 delegates with specific roles (one dedicated to IIAs, so crucial for us).The objective of this first year of the new E+ Programme was to put in force its novelties: green travel support, digitalisation, inclusion, short mobilities for PhDs. Besides these Europe-driven objectives, we wanted to: -enhance staff mobilities, through a revision of the timing related to the call for applications that allowed their re-opening in case of savings and through the adoption of the lump sum payment system (that substituted the reimbursement system) that let us save time in the management of mobilities; -enhance SMP that would tackle the needs of the labour market through the development of professional and soft skills
