The University of Catania (UNICT) places internationalization at the center of its institutional strategy. In the 2022-2026 Strategicy Plan, internationalization is a challenge shared by the strategic areas of Teaching, Research, Third Mission and Services, still underlining the transversal nature of the supranational dimension and in line with the EPS 2021-2027 objectives and with the commitments undertaken with the ECHE 2021 -2027. In the context of the programmatic documents, participation in the E+ Program plays a strategic role in promoting the international dimension at three levels: individual, academic and civic. The first concerns the development of the international perspective of students’, faculty’s and staf’s community; the second concerns the development of international curricula; the third concerns the promotion of civic engagement and active citizenship among outgoing and incoming students and staff before, after and during mobility. Particular attention is paid to digitalisation processes, the strengthening of the training offer in English and the general increase in the quality of teaching. Participation to the European Alliance "EUNICE" since 2020 is functional to the whole process.
