Despite the pandemic, the University has promoted both incoming and outgoing student and staff mobility, in accordance with the #ioripartosicuro (https://www.unipi.it/images/pdf/fase3/IC_post_DPCM_14_01_2021.pdf) indications, also allowing it to be carried out in virtual mode and through online teaching, as well as allocating its own and ministerial funds to supplement EU funds with particular attention to students with fewer opportunities. The University has implemented the digitalisation of processes aimed at EWP by adopting the new Erasmus Mobility Portal by Cantieri Informatici. For the first time funds are allocated for the implementation of mobilities to any partner country in the world (regions 1-14) as well as the use of a portion of the funds to finance incoming mobility from Ukrainian Universities (this activity was in line with the internal policies for supporting Ukrainian population, link: https://www.unipi.it/index.php/welcome-and-support/itemlist/category/2078). Staff Mobility has undergone a significant increase compared to the previous year. Regarding the reception of incoming guests, however, the University generally organizes a Staff Training Week every year and also ad hoc welcome for single guests.
