The Erasmus+ mobility program has successfully laid the foundation for enhancing higher education mobility, to equip a wider range of participants with more relevant skills. The recent policy trends guided the implementation of new opportunities in higher education towards more digitalisation, inclusion, interconnectedness, and sustainability. In implementing this project, we aimed to provide opportunities for students and staff of the University of Salento to undertake a learning and/or professional experience in other countries (EU and outside the EU). We firmly believe that a mobility abroad positively impacts students' job prospects post-graduation. This experience helps students/staff improve their language and soft skills, become more open-minded and entrepreneurial, and expand their network of relationships. These kinds of opportunities are most relevant in the post- pandemic period. This project involves offering mobility opportunities for students to countries outside the EU. It aligns with one of the strategic objectives of our University, which is to increase internationalization. The project is integrated with the initiatives under the Erasmus+ KA171 action based on the Departmental Agreements.
