Objectives

First and foremost, the implementation of the Erasmus project has been driven by the desire to offer our students the opportunity to study and work in international settings. At the same time, it has provided our university with the chance to increase its international visibility and attractiveness, both in terms of teaching and research thanks to the faculty mobility. Becoming part of an international network has meant promoting a series of internal initiatives which have improved the university’s overall performance also to align with the quality standards required by the project: i.e. ensuring a suitable number of destinations for our outgoing students, ensuring a suitable number of topics taught in English for the incoming students, simplifying procedures of application and recognition of credits acquired by students, to mention only the activities which have contributed to consolidating an international culture. The implementation of Erasmus project, in fact, reflects LUM’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and global higher education, preparing students for an increasingly interconnected world.
