The overall objective of the project “SOON - Students mObility cONsortium” was to strengthen the relationship between higher education and the world of work, starting from the occupational needs of the Sicilian market and ensuring the alternation between theory and practice in the European context. The project pursued three objectives: 1) Strengthening the mobility of students, recent graduates and PhDs in order to increase the employability of the young generations, their self-entrepreneurship, boost their self-esteem and foster the development of transversal and basic skills (organisational; linguistic; relational); 2) Fostering the development of a sense of belonging and adherence to the EU founding values, by encouraging the process of internationalisation; 3) Supporting staff mobility for training in order to support the exchange of good practices in education and training systems, to promote innovation in these systems, to foster knowledge about the interconnection between formal, non-formal and informal learning, the labour market and vocational training.
