Objectives

OIE JOBS supported opportunities in acquiring and developing key competences, including basic skills in order to foster employ ability, socio-educational and personal development, as well as participation in civic and social life. It catered for adults, including NEETs, who lagged behind in mainstream education for personal, economic, social, psychological, physical, cultural or learning challenges and had therefore left school without those skills. The primary goal aimed to support the development, transfer and/or implementation of innovative web practices as well as the implementation of joint initiatives promoting cooperation, peer learning and exchanges of experience at European level. The project proposal initiative started by TRAMES given its experience in the subject and in the use of SIREN methodology and tools: the LMS Master Study multilingual development of the online platform up to readiness for internal pilot testing within partnership. The project focused on exchange of good practices between partner organizations and its staff. This small-scale partnership enabled participants' organizations to gain experience in international cooperation and strengthened their capacities.

The pre - application consultations among the partners had indicated that there is a lot of research concerning “key competencies” and “employ ability skills”, however in many EU member states and partner countries the approach to education at every stage of life is not so much “competency driven” – it is rather knowledge that is being offered. OIE JOBS general objective was always the inclusion of adults with learning impairment and the project worked on stigma, isolation, social exclusion and lack of access to jobs world through awareness, empowerment, creating participatory spaces, the approach of activities that generate a horizontal and based on literacy and SIREN methodology. Tools project design adapt to help learners with special needs achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency and success in the community. During implementation of the project partners worked in similar fields (adult learning) exchanged good practices, provided transfer of experience aimed at wide reach in different regions of Europe.
