The overall objective was to foster networking between European non-profit organizations, educators and practitioners to develop strategies and actions to foster the integration of foreign adults through art and culture. The specific objectives were: - to increase the skills and tools available to educators and social workers; - to create a "fabric" of common guidelines and tools between associations and non-profit organizations.
One of the increasingly important issues within the European space is the dialogue and integration of people from foreign countries within local communities. In this sense it was very important to imagine creative paths that can help foreign people and families to integrate more effectively in the local contexts in which they live, but also help host communities to be more welcoming and supportive of the integration of the foreigner. In fact, there is a whole population of age that remains outside the normal mechanisms of integration. It was necessary to understand how to involve foreign adults and migrants in effective integration paths and allow a greater dynamic of relationship with people belonging to the host communities. A central role in the theme of social inclusion in the territories is usually taken by non-profit organizations and their staff of operators and educators, who are usually called to create educational and inclusive paths in this area.
