Objectives

Through an initial phase of surveying the experiences lived by the workers and therefore the consequent co-design of the training tools, the partners of the SmartWo project have created a digital toolkit of knowledge and experience that would provide concrete support aimed at better enhancing the benefits of work remotely and therefore to a consequent reduction or better management of the disadvantages associated with it. The Toolkit therefore leveraged the enhancement of soft skills and digital skills themselves for a more effective resilience of individuals to the new context that they have often suffered passively, individuals in this case understood as all workers with different occupational profiles, from managers / executives to officials / executives up to operatives - employees and workers. All then within a European dimension that takes advantage of the possibility of sharing the experiences recorded in Italy, the Czech Republic and Latvia.

Background

The restrictions imposed around the world to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic have forcibly accelerated the spread of 'remote working' (so-called "smart working"), accelerating a process that has been underway for several years thanks to the continuous development of technologies digital increasingly within everyone's reach. However, individuals have not always arrived prepared to face what often turned out to be a radical change with immediate effects also in the management of private life. The SmartWo project with its digital toolkit of knowledge and experience has represented a concrete attempt to share and enhance concepts and practices to allow individuals to better face the challenges associated with the (sometimes forced) diffusion of remote work. Through the creation of a multimedia web platform (https://www.smartwo.eu) the project partners first created and then tested the various tools already envisaged in the application phase.
