The "EU Generation" project had the ambition to rediscover the historical roots of Europe, investigate the founding values and the historical evolution of its principles and understand the complexities and problems of European institutions. Our European project intended to start a path on what European belonging symbolizes and how young people can get involved to build a better and more supportive Europe. The main objective of our project was to help understand Europe as an institution, make young people reflect on the Europe they dream of and stimulate a new process of belonging to Europe. The "EU generation" youth exchange has increased the reflection process of young people on the general objectives and founding characteristics of the Erasmus + program. Among these we have focused our attention on the development of mobility among young people in Europe, the potential of non-formal education, the creation of innovative opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities, the development of intercultural education in the youth field and the promotion of fundamental European values among young people The project objectives were: • draw the attention of young people to the values and founding principles of Europe; • create the conditions necessary for a global understanding of the European institutions; • help young people understand how, by getting involved, they can create a more inclusive and supportive Europe; • make the participants aware of the different situation present in other countries and encourage an intercultural exchange; • help develop young people's analytical and critical thinking skills; • Promote responsibility among young people regarding prejudice and inequalities in different careers by promoting positive examples and disseminating effective conflict resolution practices.
