Why: The project had as its main topic the environmental crime of ‘Ndrangheta in the EU. the main goal was to help young people to be more aware of the importance of working with legality and to contrast this issue in Europe. in fact, is not possible to contrast climate change without considering these phenomena in Europe. According to Europol illegal eco-waste trafficking and disposal, activities have become one of the fastest-growing sectors of organized crime.” Furthermore, according to two reports, one drawn up in 2021 entitled “report on Eurojust's casework on environmental crime” (which follows a previous one carried out in 2014 entitled “strategic project on environmental crime”). It is shown how the phenomenon of eco-crime involves all Eu countries, in special we can see that in all of east Europe this phenomenon is growing. The country's interest is in Romania, Turchia, Croazia, Cipro, Turkey, and Nederland. In Italy was created a special group of investigators that are working on it, but in most countries in Europe, this phenomenon is underestimated. According to the 2014 report "Strategic Project on Environmental Crime", there is a complete lack of an investigative unit dedicated to the topic, and educated police forces (but not a specialized body). According to the introduction the selected young people from the named country met in Limbadi to discuss this topic and to be more aware of the problem. The objectives of the project were: - make young people more aware and sensitized on the problem, since the reduction of waste and the environmental impact, - make young people more aware of the policies undertaken by the EU institution (the EU Parliament is currently thinking of introducing the crime of “ecocide” which joins the term genocide to define environmental crimes that fall into macro-categories: damage to soil, water, air, and forests, to flora and fauna and to the climate). - create a climate of contrast to the mafia phenomenon and improve knowledge of the eco-mafia problem; - improve knowledge on the problem of sustainable development and how this is connected with crime and its activities in all countries of the european union; - improve the knowledge and the 2030 agenda on sustainable development and the understanding of the objectives proposed by the United Nation; - improve entrepreneurship education; - improve the knowledge of valuable strategies and solutions against organized crime; - to improve the knowledge of the decision-making processes, the ability to cooperate and understand, and improve the knowledge about EU institutions, Euro-just, and Sustainable Development. - develop transversal communication skills, digital skills, problem-solving skills, optimistic vision, and resilience;
