COVID-19 has served as a powerful reminder of our interconnectedness with the natural world. Despite all of our technological advancements, we are not immune to the consequences of our actions, especially when it comes to the depletion of natural resources. It is imperative that we recognize the limitations of these resources and work towards sustainable practices in order to protect the health and well-being of both ourselves and the planet. In this vein, the Green New Deal and the Climate Pact have been important efforts to spread the message that time is running out for us to take action. Climate change, population growth, and increased consumption for both agricultural and industrial purposes, coupled with pollution, have significantly impacted the availability of natural resources, particularly water. If we do not take steps to address these issues, we risk the spread of desertification and water scarcity in many parts of the world, leading to increased climate migration. In an effort to address these challenges, "Overshoot Youth" was created with the goal of raising awareness among young people about the importance of natural resource conservation, to motivate them to become advocates of sustainability and motivate them to take an active role in promoting sustainable practices and raising awareness about the consequences of our use of the planet's resources. "Overshoot Youth" is just one example of the ways in which we can work towards this goal and create a more sustainable future for all. To achieve this, we addressed the following objectives: To engage and empower young people to participate in solving local and global environmental issues; To assess the resources deployment realities within the Euro-Mediterranean sphere, clarifying causes and global effects; To better understand the impact of indiscriminate consumption of natural resources on climate change and on our environment and raise awareness, fostering collective reflection about the ecological issue in a Euro-Mediterranean scale; To entice young people to develop and spread sustainable practices among their peers and communities and contribute to foster an eco-friendly attitude; To offer a space to develop and exchange ideas and practices on environmental activism and contribute to strengthening resilience in participants' communities.
