By implementing this project we aimed to raise participants' awarenes on sustainable patterns of food consumption and production for climate change mitigation, activating young people and enabling them to develop and learn about green practices and behaviors. In this way we promoted sustainable food education and knowledge sharing dissemination about the existing nexus between food consumption, human rights, and environmental issues, such as climate change, giving them the opportunity to gain valuable life-skills during and after the project lifetime. More specifically, the objectives of the project were: to raise awareness on different and innovative ways to reduce the impact on the planet of the food we produce and consume; to promote local alternative food systems, local producers and territorial markets; to identify opportunities to fight against food waste; to understand the link between food production, food consumption and human rights so to promote the importance of an equal access to healthy, sustainable and fair food.
