The present project was born from a deep context analysis carried out by the partner NGOs related to youth workers and their work practice. Our project has been addressing concrete needs, shared among the partner NGOs and its youth workers, that formal ways of teaching and learning are not providing youth anymore with the proper competences required by the labour market and society’s development; it is crucial to put young people themselves in the middle of their learning process through an experiential path, strengthened by (self)reflection and evaluation, which are key pedagogical principles of NFE. In this context, our project aimed to become a fruitful space to share, experiment and further develop NFE tools, methods and techniques in youth work practice. Specific objectives for this project were: - explore the characteristics and complementarities of different educational approaches and methods (formal, non-formal, informal), and how they can mutually benefit from each other - understand the principles and importance of NFE methods in daily work with youth and its effects on building educational programmes - provide participants with concrete opportunities to directly test and experience different kind of NFE methods - equip youth workers with tools, manuals, handbooks, references and other educational material related to NFE - increase the competences of youth workers, trainers, leaders and educators from 8 European Countries in designing and delivering activities based on experiential learning and NFE - strengthen partners’ base of competences to increase their role as key players in their communities - build up a stronger network of European youth NGOs working with NFE - increase knowledge and opportunities deriving from Erasmus+ programme The project, with all of its proposed activities, aimed to have a complex and diverse impact on participants’ personal and professional competences by improving the quality of their youth work and ability to organise activities for different target groups of young people, especially those with fewer opportunities. In this regard, considering that the project was focusing on the educational power and effectiveness of Non-formal education, the aim was to positively affect the daily youth work practice of the people involved, allowing them to learn how to locate the personal inclinations and interests of youth and how to stimulate their personal opening based on the activities proposed, uncovering and utilizing their leadership potential. In this sense, the Training Course aimed to raise self-confidence in the implementation of activities, workshops and educational programmes through the use of NFE, also providing paticipants with specific tools, manuals, guidebooks, materials and resources to use in their youth work
