As teachers, we have a lifelong learning mandate to continuously educate ourselves. The Erasmus trips at our school have served for several years to deal with certain topics in depth. We wanted to broaden our horizons in the field of education by carrying out the projects, by traveling, visiting schools and making contacts with other teachers, but also to create a better cultural understanding of Europe. The aim was also to strengthen our own skills with computer courses, language courses, etc. and to benefit from best practice applications of others.
Oberschule Eschen is a general education school. It prepares students primarily for entry into a profession. Special emphasis is placed on the formation of the personality and the general life orientation of the young people. At the end of the fourth school year, students have the opportunity to take a step into professional life, but they also have the option of attending a secondary school. Due to the new curriculum, the implementation of which began in the school year 2019/20, the digitalization of the school with the subject "Medien und Informatik" is an important focus. In the 2020/21 school year, all Liechtenstein schools were equipped with new laptops. The use and profitable application in everyday school life pose a new challenge for teachers. An interdisciplinary concern at all schools in Liechtenstein is education for sustainable development. We already have a lot of experience with Erasmus projects. For about 8 years now, educational trips and mobilities have been used for further education.
