Objective No.1. was to improve the European dimension of our school by launching new mobility activities targeted to students. Objective No. was to Improve the key competences of students. Objective No. 3 was to provide high quality training opportunities abroad for students with fewer opportunities. Objective No. 4 was to improve the language skills of students.
Kaunas international gymnasium is a multicultural community where students of different nationalities are studying (they come from Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Belorussia, Afghanistan, Philippines, Venezuela and etc.). Our gymnasium offers different forms of education. There are 1500 students. We also have a subdivision for 5-10 grades for students who are less motivated and have social problems. We have the 3rd subdivision, a kindergarten. This Erasmus+ project 2021-1-LT01-KA122-SCH-000013670 is very important for our school. In this project we had organizations - two schools IPSAS Aldrovandi-Rubbiani, Instituto de Educación Secundaria Politécnico and cooperative UNISER SOC. COOP. ONLUS. The main points of the project were about improving the European dimension of our school. We cared about the key competencies. Our gymnasium is the only school providing classes in Russian and a school of ethnic minorities, that is why the 3rd objective was to provide high quality training opportunities abroad for students with fewer opportunities. It was very important to improve the language skills of our students. 5 school’s staff members participated in a training course on internationalization. 20 staff members were trained by the participants.
