During the group mobility of school pupils certain tools such as an information –methodical video/tutorial and Emotion thermometer will be created which help to improve pupils’ mental health in order to eliminate the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic and distance learning. The tools developed will provide long term assistance to the progymnasium community in achieving quality teaching and learning. The pupils will become more confident in themselves and others. The participants will get to know Estonia, deepen the understanding of the cultural diversity of European countries, improve their language learning. The pupils will be provided with tools to be applied in both learning environment and personal lives, they will foresee the project continuity. The school will become a stronger, safer and more collaborative institution (without borders). The group mobility of school pupils will contribute to the goals of the progymnasium in order to implement International Strategy.
The global Covid-19 pandemic has forced to review the value created by the school. After the start of distance learning school communities have focused on a new phase of digital development. During a very short period of time everybody had to master their IT skills and concentrate on developing their abilities. In no time everybody has realized that school closure leads to social isolation. At the beginning of 2021 a survey about pupils’ emotional well-being was initiated by the progymnasium pupils’ council. It has revealed that 46 % of the pupils described their well- being as satisfactory or bad. So we believe that during the group mobility of school pupils “Manage your personal energy correctly” participating in the joint activities with our Estonian partners the seventh graders will identify problems, look for inclusive ways and means to achieve better learning outcomes, collaborate and improve their mental health.
