Objectives

To get acquainted with the latest educational methodologies, techniques and technologies applied in the educational process, later applying them in the improvement of the educational programs of the high school and pre-school education departments. Teachers are expected to be able to apply Montessori and Reggio Emilia educational programs and integrate them into the educational process. Also, the knowledge gained during the courses about outdoor education and the creation of educational environments will help to provide quality educational services, and will allow to choose an educational program based on the abilities and possibilities of the students. Also, new knowledge will be integrated into the creation of the Center's learning environment in an attempt to turn the environment into a more attractive space for learning and self-realization for young people and children. This will manifest itself through the conduct of lessons/classes in response to the modern needs of students

Background

Karalius Mindaugas Vocational Training Center is one of the largest vocational training institutions in Lithuania. During the period of more than 65 years of activity, the Center has earned the name of a reliable and competent educational institution not only in the eyes of students, but also in the eyes of partners. About 4 thousand students study at the center. The center provides educational services in the following areas: secondary education; vocational training; adult education; preschool education. This project plans to improve the qualifications of pedagogues in two departments. The relevance of the project arose from self-analysis of the departments. The results of the analysis show that most important improving competences are implementation of digital technologies during lessons, teaching in a non-traditional environment, modern and contemporary methods. The educational process is characterized by low involvement and motivation of students. Participation in international trainings/seminars would help deepen knowledge about the needs of modern youth in the teaching process, find an attractive teaching method for modern students.
