Objectives

The project aimed to improve: 1. a comprehensive approach to language teaching and learning and bold use of foreign languages; 2. competences of student cooperation, cultural awareness and creativity; 3. students' goal setting, time planning and reflection skills; 4. intercultural cognitive and intercultural competencies; 5. application of innovative teaching methods and ICT.

Background

In the gymnasium, we constantly face such challenges as self-directed learning, student motivation, lack of learning competence. Although many students in high school know the grammar rules of English and other foreign languages well, understand the readings properly, and prepare essays, students are still hesitant to use foreign languages as a means of communication not only in subject areas, but also in everyday life. training. In the gymnasium, we have very proactive and active students who need to create more space to develop, express themselves and gain various experiences that they can share with other students. Modern integrated training methods using appropriate ICT and innovative tools are also very important needs that our organization is currently facing. Taking into account the fact that most of our staff are not young teachers, we feel a constant need to strengthen teacher training, which would create a positive atmosphere for learning, especially foreign languages, to develop and achieve educational success for every student, therefore, with this project, we decided to give teachers the opportunity to gain experience in integrated subject and language teaching.
