Background

In recent years, teenage lifestyle has changed to a great extent with respect to their eating habits, spending free time and doing sports. Tendency among young people to play computer games, to be glued to the television, to eat unhealthy or junk food are common problems of our times. Children should be the healthiest generation but facts and figures show otherwise. An unbalanced body means an unbalanced mind. Stress factors in teenage life abide, the sources being family and school conflicts, peer pressure, a struggle with coming to terms with one’s body changes and low self-esteem. Children under pressure are at a higher risk of suffering from eating disorders or depression, becoming addicted to smoking, gaming or drugs The main aim of this strategic partnership is cultivating healthy life style in our schools and among our target groups in a way enhancing basic skills is fundamental for the project because in schools it is observed that students are lack of competencies in some of basic skills; such as communication in foreign languages, social entrepreneurship, ICT skills, cultural awareness etc.
