Objectives

The youth exchange "ReTreat," which had it's mobility in October 2022 in Lithuania, promoted physical activity, mental health, and supported youngsters' development of social skills and ability to cope with life's challenges. Our main objectives were the following: 1.Learn how to foster mental health, prevent and manage stress, and maintain a healthy lifestyle during the most difficult situations in life. 2.Support and encourage participants to develop and broaden their capacities to live healthier by developing healthy eating, healthy body, and healthy mind habits. 3.Tackle problems such as eating disorders, bad eating habits, destroy "marketing traps," and provide alternatives for knocking down excuses against a healthy life/sport - "lack of time and money." 4.Gain self-knowledge and inner harmony through practicing meditation and mindfulness. 5. Emphasise the importance of sports/physical activities by practicing creative and alternative activities that did not require special investment or equipment and that could easily be practiced after the youth exchange at home. 6.Provide opportunities to try out several sports (yoga, dances, etc.), outdoor activities with a special focus on developing teamwork, self-reliance, leadership, and cooperation. 7.Promote Erasmus+ programs among participants to mainstream the gained knowledge. The youth exchange stimulated the development of the youngsters' social skills, starting their long process to improve their complex negative behaviours/habits, doing more sport, eating healthier, and finding their inner peace.
