Objectives

Let's Create Eco Fashion(LCEF) is a youth exchange that took place in Yerevan, Armenia from October 29 - 7 November , 2022. We welcomed 21 participants from Armenia, Italy and Lithuania in Yerevan, at the capital of Armenia. The participants were around the theme of reusing textile waste and creating new, innovation eco fashion clothes from them. We wanted them to learn new methods of reusing old cloths and due reduce textile waste and save the environment. The main aim of the youth exchange was to raise the awareness and the knowledge of young people about the recycling and second use of the clothes and learning of creative methods of doing it. Therefore the main objectives of the project were: - to promote creativity, sense of entrepreneurship - to provide participants with tools how to sort clothes and use it for the second time - to form new social-ecological habits for citizens of partner countries; - to provide participants with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes on inclusion of young people in activities which are connected to environmental issues; - Share experience and examples of good and bad practices by methods of non-formal education about clothing issue and learning from each other; - to make ECO FASHION art exhibition/show from reused clothes to promote sustainability. By organising this project, first of all we wanted to show the participants that we are living now in such times that we should take care of the environment that is surrounding us. The young people are buying clothes too much and too often and they even don't recognize very oftern the the resources that are being spent for creating the clothes that they are buying and after throwing them away how they damage the environement. We also selected 2 EU and 1 non-EU partners for this project to have opportunity to investigate the eco fashion situation in each country. This observation was made during the inventory of the existing situation in each of our countries, region or city according to the analysis presented. The participants carried out research and discovered themselves the gaps which separate us between the ideal to be achieved and the reality of the facts. After the research phases and teambuilding activites, we understood that the situations in each country are differerent and there is a huge gap between the partnering countries. . Especially the non-EU country had little experience of eco fashion industry and they started having new buisness ideas. The Lithuanian organisation had interesting experiences and examples to show the other partners during the project, so that some participans took notes too. The project had the aim to show during the final exhibition how the old clothes could be transformed into new, creative and innovative designed clothes and how they can be nicely reused. The specific aim and objectives of the project were: -Animate the creativity of participants and their ability to transform concepts into innovative actions. -Create works of art using waste during creative workshops. -Find ideas for reusing waste -Raise awareness of the current environmental problem and the importance of recycling. Main activities: -Icebreakers and knowledge games -Eco fashion workshops -Textile art workshops -Visit of the city's galleries and museums -Teambuilding activites -Research on eco fashion companies and fashion designers
