The University of Luxembourg has made internationalisation one of its priorities. It has been able to make student mobility compulsory for Bachelor students and many Master's programmes have a mobility semester integrated into their curriculum within the framework of joint programmes. Mobility is a key element in the university's international strategy, both in terms of the opportunities offered to its students and staff by its various funding programmes, but also in terms of the resources made available to international students and researchers to come to Luxembourg. This diversity enriches academic life and facilitates the development and acquisition of intercultural, multilingual and transversal competences for all members of the university community. Finally, it facilitates the creation of institutional as well as personal networks that allow the creation of collaborative projects and reinforce the European identity. The Erasmus programme has played a very important role in the development of the university and will continue to inform its future development.
