Objectives

The aim of this application was to finance student mobility and their access to bursaries for the short time periods in which they will complete their internships with companies during the fourth semester of their studies. The Erasmus+ programme allows EHTL students to carry out internships abroad, lasting 18 to 20 weeks. They work at middle management level in the respective departments and are involved in the management and organisation of hotels, restaurants, tourism and events. Luxembourg does not have enough and large enough companies to offer internships to all second year BTS students as it is only a small country. The EU, on the other hand, has a multitude of companies in the various fields required. Students who have followed the theoretical training during the first 3 semesters at the school will be able to apply their theoretical knowledge while getting some crucial “hands-on” experience. A regular exchange between the internship tutor, the student and the company mentor will enable the development of professional skills to be monitored as closely as possible. The EHTL will have the opportunity to closely follow the hospitality market which is constantly evolving and will certainly evolve in favour of quality services.
