Objectives

During mobility, we were looking forward to improve teachers professional experience by attending professional development courses in Cyprus and Portugal. In Cyprus, teachers had an opportunity to learn new methods of working practically with students of inclusive education. In Portugal, school management representatives and field coordinators had a chance to develop leadership skills, gaining international experience. In Italy and Spain, it was possible to get new insights about the organization of learning processes, with special emphasis on the principles of democracy and citizenship, inclusive education, and modern teaching methods. The observation of the lessons helps to understand the direction of the educational process in Europe and helps to understand how to achieve best quality improvement of the learning process as well. By participating in exchange mobility, the students had a new experience by getting to know the organization of the education process in Lithuania, as well as welcomed the students of Gedeminas pro-gymnasium to the Liepaja Secondary school No 7.where they had a chance to participate in the multiparty project "Museum Night".

Background

By participating in the project "Future School", we expected the teachers to have the opportunity to improve their knowledge and experience by observing lessons in Italy and Spain. Also taking a part in a student mobility trip to Lithuania, we were paying special attention to developing communication skills, improving digital skills and knowledge of foreign languages. It is important for teachers to gain experience about learning process organization in the primary school and elementary school stages, because the teacher should know his/her field of study, be able to interest their students and justify the need for the knowledge to be learned. Each teacher participates in methodical work and in various interest groups. The teacher does not work only in the classroom; therefore, the importance of professional competence becomes relevant. During the observation of lessons our teachers gathered different ideas that could also be implemented in our school work. In the courses in Cyprus and Portugal, teachers also got acquainted with various strategies that can be successfully used in developing the inclusive role, as well as to organize a competence-based modern learning process successfully.
