Liepaja Secondary School no 5 is the largest general education school in Kurzeme, with more than 1250 pupils and 108 teachers (current data), and an average class size of 27.7 pupils in 45 classes. In such a large school, the average teacher has 30 teaching hours per week + other duties, which in the context of educational reform means that teachers have to spend a lot of their free time preparing materials and writing thematic lesson plans, compounded by the large number of pupils per class, resulting in high risks of burnout and quitting job. The aim of the project is to prevent burnout and boost motivation by supporting teachers in acquiring new skills and competences to reduce stress and promote psychological well-being.
