Realizing the Erasmus+ mobility program, Art Academy of Latvia (AAL) is implementing the most important targets of its internationalization strategy, thereby ensuring competitive and aware status as European art and design university. Participation experience in the Erasmus+ programme, allowed to develop tight network with the leading art and design institutions in Europe, which is an essential basis for the exchange of experience and improve the quality of the studies. The priorities and objectives of the AAL is based on the internationalisation strategy, aim to balance cross-sectoral cooperation in different areas of art and design by ensuring a competitive academic and creative environment, a network of international partnerships and a multidisciplinary exchange of experience within a united Europe. At the moment AAL has signed cooperation agreements with 84 higher educational institutions in 27 different countries. The program offers a wide range of activities in the fields of education and training not only to the students, but also to the teaching staff and personnel of the academy. A lot of enthusiastic teachers and students have also taken the opportunity to visit Latvia and gain experience in our academy.
