In Latvia and Estonia Metalworking industry is the third biggest industry. The main challenge the sector is facing lack of skilled specialists. Also career guidance materials will be useful for those people with fewer opportunities and knowledge about labour market, education needs of MM industries, including people with disabilities and people with a migrant background, as well as people living in rural and remote areas. Lack of career materials leads that pupils and wider society choose education in sectors where is low demand for employees, got unemployed or work in other sectors than gained qualification which decreases efficiency of invested state funds in education and leads to further investment of requalification of people.
