Objectives

Under the Erasmus+ Accreditation grant for Youth Organisations, we implemented four activities as planned when we applied for the grant. We implemented 2 Youth Worker mobilities and 2 Youth Exchanges. Youth worker mobilities: A youth worker's mobility "Connection with You(th)" took place from the 23rd of May until the 29th of May of the year 2022 (including travel days) and gathered 20 participants in total. This training course aimed to eliminate or minimize exchanges' emotional toll on youth workers. This project will include multiple methods and reminders for youth workers to take care of themselves first before solving the problems of others. The activity was implemented based on a long-term partnership with a partner organization’s Erasmus+ project. Every year our partner organization in Germany organizes a youth exchange which includes various creative workshops to create a performance resulting from the exchange. This year, a goal became clear by gathering young people's ideas - a training course for youth workers, “Connection with you(th)”. The main objectives of this activity were: -to raise awareness about the well-being of youth leaders and youth workers to be able to take care of themselves as a youth workers and later on work on methods on how to help young people; -to bring attention to different methods in youth work; -to bring awareness about emotional intelligence and the connection with one’s emotions/feelings; -problem-solving in youth work; -acknowledging boundaries- both physical and emotional; -acknowledging one’s values. A Youth Workers Mobility You(th) in Democracy took place from the 20th of July until the 26th of July (including travel days) of 2022 and gathered 17 participants. The objectives of this mobility for youth workers’ were: -To deepen our participants’ knowledge of different forms of democratic participation, to identify the challenges and barriers to democratic participation and, in general, for them to learn more about the topic of democracy in relation to young people; -To provide them with the space to exchange ideas, views and experiences with each other and to get a better understanding of the status of democracy in the different countries participating in our mobility; -To support them in discussing their ideas for change and the follow-up activities they would like to implement in their local and national contexts to multiply the knowledge they acquired during the project back in their societies; -To build synergies among youth workers from different countries to potentially cooperate again in the future. Youth Exchanges: During the project, we implemented 2 Youth Exchanges. Resilient You(th) youth exchange lasted from the 10th of July until the 19th of July of 2022 and amassed 28 participants. The main objective of this activity was to educate youngsters on how to build a community and what it means to create a sustainable and open community, in the long term, to develop their self-awareness of which kind of people they are surrounding themselves with. Furthermore, the objective links closely with the European youth goals. Through different non-formal education activities, we cultivated the understanding of the youth goal 3 -Inclusive Societies; by enabling and ensuring the inclusion of all the participants in the Youth Exchange, we raised their awareness on how to better foster dialogue with their peers who are coming from a complex background. This way of working provided more space and opportunity for the participants to understand the need for inclusive communities. It allowed them to bring back the gained insights to their local communities. Youth Exchange, The Green Generation, took place from the 14th of August until the 22nd of August 2022 and involved 28 participants. This activity's main objective was to inspire the participants to develop and deliver informal activities concerning nature and climate, thus creating the foundation for knowledge and motion in their local communities through individual and cooperative learning methods. The objective also closely links to the European Youth goals of Sustainable Green Europe, Quality learning, Information & Constructive Dialogue and Space and Participation for All. Through the lens of Sustainable Green Europe, we created a foundation of the ability to reflect on and be inspired by Green policies and practices in the EU. We provided a space for quality learning through sharing and informal and cooperative learning methods. Moreover, we ensured space for critically evaluating information and presenting participants' viewpoints by creating discussions on the environment and climate.
