By implementing this project, we wanted to improve the quality of non - formal adult education for acquiring skills in the area of elderly caregivers i.e. prepare staff with professional and practical skills and knowledge, which will foster the entrepreneurial spirit and make the participants more competitive on the labour market with more opportunities for employment and self-employment. The project was open for application for the broader public in order to raise the participation of adults of all ages and socio-economic background in adult education. The participants in the mobility acquired knowledge and skills for elderly caregivers and they also had the opportunity to acquire broader knowledge of a different culture, customs and tradition of the host country as well as improve their language competences.
PEI OCU LLL "Vancho Prke" - Shtip has its main interest in adult education, non-formal education and lifelong learning. In our activities we aspire to provide upgrading of the level of key competences and skills important for the labour market. Activities which we constantly undertake for this are: preparation of new programs for acquiring vocational knowledge and skills; adapting the existing programs to new technologies and needs; upgrading the acquired knowledge and skills for new technologies and techniques; increasing the opportunities for employment and self-employment; encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit. The training for elderly caregivers with this project provided us as an institution to come a step forward to reaching our goals and also gave an opportunity to the participants to develop or improve their skills and competences in the field of elderly caregivers as well as raise their entrepreneurial spirit through the training acquired in a European facility.
