The project “Empowering Civil Society through Digital Transformation” was aimed to support Metamorphosis in achieving the following objectives: 1) Strengthen the competencies of Metamorphosis’ staff as adult educators and trainers around online and innovative learning tools and approaches; 2) Strengthen the capacity of Metamorphosis Foundation to educate CSOs on digital transformation and 3) Improve Metamorphosis’ capacity to develop sustainable cross-border cooperation and transnational learning. More specifically, it was expected that through the ECSDT project Metamorphosis’ staff will: 1) gain knowledge and skills on how to design and deliver online training for CSOs; 2) gain knowledge and skills on how to better support nonprofits on their digital transformation journey; 3) improve their learning methods and educational content of trainings related to cloud solutions, digital marketing and digital transformation; 4) learn good practices from peers in other countries and implement them within Metamorphosis’ activities.
Ever since 2004, Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society invested its efforts and accumulated a diverse portfolio, implementing projects in four program areas: • Human Rights Online; • Social Accountability; • Education for Innovations and • Media for Democracy. Metamorphosis' crosscutting approach includes (1) research and advocacy; (2) development of capacities and the (3) development of tools. The primary target groups that benefit directly from our interventions include CSOs, civil servants and public/state institutions, journalists, teachers and youth. Through these approaches we generate knowledge, advise and pressure for positive social change, while at the same time providing hands on support to institutions and organizations to improve their performance and enhance. In the past period, Metamorphosis’ training and education activities have intensified as the demand for the subject matter expertise we cover has increased. In order to meet the needs of our target groups and to maintain the quality of the trainings we deliver, we have a continuous need to invest in the development of the skills of our staff.
