Objectives

How environmentally friendly is your school? Each school demonstrated the level reached in terms of sustainable development - an opportunity to review the various activities already implemented in each school for environmental protection and those to be developed How environmentally friendly is your local area? Each school demonstrated the level their local area has reached in terms of sustainable development. This section was dedicated to discovering the different geographical situations, climate, biodiversity, specific to where each partner school is located. The goal was for the students to discover their surroundings and introduce them to their European partners. It's time for action! Each school undertook sustainable development activities that were adapted to their situation, chose a project, set it up and worked in international teams. Reduce and transform waste: be creative! Every school has discovered how waste can not only be recycled, reduced, but also replenished. Become an ecological European citizen! Every student was invited to develop their eco-friendly attitude outside of school. In this part, the students were invited to continue their actions outside the school to become real European "eco-citizens".

Background

The environment, protection and analysis of its condition are embedded in the curriculum for many subjects and ensure critical thinking, social and individual responsibility towards it from an early age. The awareness of the students I can say for sure is great, although it is never enough to educate and take new actions. This project was designed precisely to share our experience of environmental protection and education for sustainable development with European partnerships and to see what other European countries have undertaken through 4 partner schools in Spain, Greece, Italy and France, all with the aim of share good practices. Consequently, such Erasmus+ projects are a wonderful opportunity for them to become more open and discover other cultures as well as other languages. Last but not least, this kind of project can be a great opportunity for host families. We know that the Erasmus+ project is not only a classroom project, but also a human project involving the entire local community.
