Brakja Ramiz-Hamid is a state primary school with more than 2000 pupils from 1st to 9th grade, out of which 99% are from Roma ethnicity, aged 6 to 16.. According to the national law the primary school lasts 9 years, from the age of 6 till 14. But in our school there many students that are 15-16 years old since according to the law the students must be part of the primary school till 16 when they are automatically deleted from the primary education stats. Many students coming from the Roma community simply do not enter or are leaving the school early from different reasons beside the laws and legal procedures. The school has so far conducted many activities with the aim to increase the number of regular students. The prevention of ESL is a serious challenge for the teachers. There were researches and analysis conducted that showed that the teachers' burn out is in a high level.Teachers were simply not trained enough to deal with that many potential school leavers in the same classroom, sometimes even 60% in the class, which almost always leads to their burn out. The analysis showed that the academic coaching and courses for cooperative learning would provide more satysfing school climate and help tackling ESL.
