We have 2 main goals: 1. The teachers from our school to be professionally educated (learn new methods and techniques for working with students with autism and other disabilities) and to increase their qualities as inclusive teachers. 2. Teachers to improve their English language skills and strengthen their and ICT skills in the field of internet research. Both goals lead our teachers to be the bearers of quality, inclusive and digital transition. Quality teaching means a modern school that will offer education according to the needs and interests of the young population and is up to date with European educational programs.
Based on the school development plan and the professional development plan of most teachers, we realized that inclusive practice and the use of appropriate and modern working methods are the weaknesses of most teachers. Teachers apply unified way of work with children and the same methods of work in situations when they are not appropriate. Teachers are not educated enough about the specifics of students with special needs and do not know modern methods, approaches and techniques for working with them. In March 2020, we faced the problem of Covid 19 and on-line teaching, and the introduction of educational platforms for that purpose. Our teachers have changed the way we work in a short period of time. Poor knowledge of the English language and insufficient knowledge of using tools and learning platforms for the realization of the same imposed great difficulties in the realization of quality teaching.
