Our general objective was to increase the responsibility regarding the environment among the participants from the 3 countries, who carried out project activities. Our specific objectives were: to increase the level of information and environmental awareness among the participants, regarding the issue of waste recycling and raising the participants’ responsibility by actively involving them in collaborative activities and peer-teaching method; continuing the effectiveness of environmental sustainability as the main goal of our project by encouraging students to use digital technologies actively end correctly in the framework of digital transformation that emerged during the covid-19 period: promotion of ecological education in schools in the three participant countries and development of the ecological spirit among youth through extracurricular activities and the use of IT tools and social media; inclusion of foreign students in the project to ensure Intercultural interaction through a collaborative method to prevent cultural conflict by understanding the wealth of different cultures; development of social/civic and English speaking skills in an intercultural context.
We applied because the most important difference that distinguishes our world from the other planets is the ecological system of our world and it is in danger. Due to global warming and climate changes that occur the ecological system is disrupted. Reduction of freshwater resources, degradation of terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems, melting of glaciers, rising sea level and loss of coastal strips, drought, flood, marine ecosystem deterioration, land crop cultivation are its negative effects on. Accordingly, it caused negative effects on society. It is the global climate change that causes all the negativeness mentioned above and the solution to this problem is environmental consciousness and awareness. These problems reveal that our project has a vital importance at the global level. International environmental climate agreements (Kyoto Protocol, Paris Agreement ,IPCC) have been signed to struggle with the climate crisis. However, it has been observed that the targets of these treaties did not reach the desired level. One of the most important among the current solution offers is the Zero Waste method. If we all adopt it, pollution will be reduced. We joined our efforts to act against climate changes.
