Objectives

The first objective we wanted to achieve was to give students the opportunity with the aim of knowing new cultures and ways of working in schools/companies of our professional sector located in other European countries. Inspire young people to succeed and achieve their goals in a global economy, awakening in them the entrepreneurial spirit, providing them with the necessary tools to face the world of work and through education. The second objective was: we want students to understand the social ( people), ecological ( planet) and financial (money) aspects to be matched in the new economy. Green deal. Students from a partner country work together in groups and with students from the other partner countries. They are trying to achieve and develop among themselves a product for a new economy market. On the international market days the students try to sell their product, in the foreign country. The design and structure of the mini-enterprises could be implemented with current and new curricula.

Background

The world became very narrow because of the Covid-19 pandemic and post-pandemic period. At school students were, at the start of the project, in a system of hybrid education, half class at school half at home. All the extra curricula were not performed in the previous 1,5 year. To give students (new) perspective we have tried to create new opportunities for them. They deserved this. Students with fewer opportunities are present in all the schools. The first to be balanced , beside the Covid-19 pandemic, was the reduced contact they have had with foreign cultures due to the social, economic and cultural level of their family. We had to help economically and to contrast prejudice and fear of the unknown that prevent them from facing travelling and contacts with foreign peers, despite the digital global world they seem to be in. We wanted to create new curricula, to be integrated with the already existing programs, so our students could immediately benefit. The idea was to start up mini enterprises, keeping SDGs in mind. The Toorop location is the VMBO department within CSW, the courses D&P, PIE and Z&W are offered here. In addition to the profiles, many other curricula are also offered.
