As the HZ mission states “HZ educates ethical professionals who have an international awareness, are internationally capable and able to work (together) in an international and multicultural setting embracing the concepts of sustainability and innovation". The Erasmus+ programme contributes to this greater goal. Our continuously aim: 30% of graduates have international experience. The majority of the HZ-students population finds its origin in the Province of Zeeland. Especially for this group of students, who still live at home, it is of importance that they have an experience abroad in order to become citizens of the world. Students who can’t participate in a mobility abroad for a longer period can take part in IaH: such as an international week organized by our Education-department and intercultural interdisciplinary projects such as the Student Company. In the future a BIP/short-term mobility could fit these students better. Also there are project abroad weeks in which students visit companies and HEI's. Participating in an experience abroad contributes to their personal development. This goes for HZ-staff mobility too. As an international-oriented university, our policy is to attract more foreign staff and- exchange students
